The crisp white walls and lightness of the earthy materials and textiles layer with ease in every room, revealing the renowned Vineyard light that enters from morning sunrise to evening sunset. The overall beauty and comfort throughout the home allows one to casually linger by the pool or gather around the fire any time of year.
As an interior gut renovation, the challenge with this home from 1780 was to keep the original character while creating a year around escape for today’s living in Martha’s Vineyard.
A padded headboard hits the spot. While a quiet nook with a fireplace becomes the perfect niche for morning coffee, afternoon reading and chats as the sun rises.
