BENJAMIN MOORE Booth
Architectural Digest Design Show

New York, NY

The Benjamin Moore six-week challenge wasn’t a diet but a race, with a directive and opportunity to design the 2018 AD Show Booth featuring Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year: Caliente. As well as, spotlight the year’s color trends and the brand’s New Century Paint Collection.

Ultimately, create an inspiring booth that gets and keeps people talking …

The objectives for our team was to use the influence of fashion trends to tell the Benjamin Moore story. Steves was able to connect the story through the use of colors, application, art and design. And, of course, win Best in Show!

Some of the aspects are very subtle…

For instance: We laser cut the BM Logo in Cambria’s quartz stone on the front of the bar. The colors in the decanters and the art on the back wall mimics the diagonal plaid.

We accentuated the Benjamin Moore color trends in unexpected ways. The mental note might be subconscious but it also completes the room visually. You see it In the book selection, the floral pattern on the chairs, the rug, the accessories, the stools and even in the flowers. The rug was designed to look like paint splatters, with a bit of humor Steves envisioned the paint dripping from the plaid walls to splattering on the floor. A subtle note was that the black and grey flooring was the same as the wall just devoid of color!
