The Grand Foyer at the historic Academy Mansion, a 26,000 square foot limestone and marble home built in 1921 and just step aways from Central Park was the perfect canvas to create a living environment for the annual Holiday House benefiting breast cancer research.  As winter approached, Steves envisioned “A Winter Holiday Under the Northern Lights’.”  The transformation of the two foyers went beyond what might normally be expected and instead of a pass through to the main house, the Grand Foyer and Foyer were reimagined into a Grand Living Room that entices the senses.  Formulating spaces that uniqiuely and seamlessly respect the elegance of the space while layering her design with a juxtaposition highlighting each of the featured artisan’s point of view, utilizing the functionality, while integrating each piece respectfully yet whimsically into her overall aesthetic.
